Tiles and Tweens

I’ve been slowly working on introducing my gaming hobby to my oldest kid as she’s gotten older. This past weekend, I taught her Carcassonne and we played Sushi Go Party. It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten to play more than one game in a sitting, and it was rather marvelous. She very much enjoyed Carcassonne (just the base game, no expansions… yet). Sushi Go Party is one she picked out, and we’ve played it a few times.

I’ve got a list of ones I want to play with her, though. Dice Throne, Mice and Mystics, Video Game High School, and of course old staples like Fluxx and Zombie Dice.

She’s also been trying to start her own small business, selling stickers she makes to her friends at school. I’ve been recruited to help her in various ways. I love her creativity. Additionally, she has several ideas for game worlds she wants to build in Roblox. Looks like I might get conscripted to script for those, too.

I’ll ramble more about her, at some point, but I just wanted to make a note of this past weekend, so I don’t forget when it “started”
