Technically, Monday is my 1 year HRT anniversary. But today was my 1 year checkup with my doctor. Everything is progressing well, and I now only go in once a year, unless something happens, or I want to take other steps.
I’ve mostly given up on wigs. My hair is starting to grow out, even my bald spot is starting to show new growth. I still have a half a dozen wigs that I like and can wear. But I’d really rather just be me. That said, I desperately need to learn the voodoo of makeup.
I’m not out to anyone back in my hometown, with only two exceptions. I think that needs to change soon. I’ve considered ripping off the bandaid by joining my high school class group with my new Facebook account. In fact, I think I’m going to do that within the next few days. I’ll report back on that.
So yeah, today is mostly disjointed thoughts along a basic theme. But I’m happy. I’ve stuck with this, and I’m seeing results, and I have an amazing spouse who supports me. We also happen to wear the same size dress, so that expands my wardrobe possibilities a fair bit.
